The Main Functions
- Import a new book
- Open a book
- Search one or more books
- Update the eBook reader
- Update the eBook catalogue
1) Import a new book
The first thing to do is to import new books (papers, etc...) in the reader.
Go to eBook section on the Witherby Seamanship website and download one or more ebooks.
Save the ebooks in any folder of your PC then select the Import button of the Reader.

Choose the PC folder that contains the ebooks and select the ebook(s) you want to import.

Once the import is done, you can access the book(s) content.
2) Open a book

On the left side, there are two panels:
- Table Of Contents
- Open Books
Open a book by selecting it in the Table Of Contents then press the button [ OPEN ]
You can remove a book from the viewer by pressing [Remove]
If the book is not free, you will see an unlock button instead of the Open one. Select this button and you will be asked for your box code that was given at the checkout stage on our website. With this number, you can unlock the book via the Internet or by email. You can also call or fax us (see on screen instructions).

The Bookshelf and book TOC sections can be expanded or collapsed using the plus/minus symbols next to the section name.
You can hide the Bookshelf with the (<<) button (see the red arrow) and the book table of content with a similar button. This gives more space for the book itself:

Once a book is open, you can find it in the 'Open Books' panel for quick access.
3) Search one or more books
One of the really powerful option of the reader is the search option.
4) Update the e-book reader
It is very important to update regularly your eBook Reader as functionalities are added regularly.
Use the button on the left toolbar to check if a new reader is available. The program will ask you to connect to the Internet at that stage.
If a new reader is available, the program will detail the upgrade procedure.
5) Update the eBook catalogue
Use the button on the left toolbar or the table of content icon to open the eBook catalogue.
You can update to the latest catalogue by connecting to the internet (the program will ask for permission to connect).
