Alan Witherby -

Originally groomed to be a City
of London printer and stationer Alan saw an opportunity to publish
in the area of Marine Insurance. This proved successful so he
then commissioned books to be written by top practitioners mainly
from the LLoyd's of London market place.
Over the years publishing spilled over into Shipping and Risk
Management. Witherby`s now has over 350 titles, written by
Institutional bodies and individual authors, the greater number of
these covers all aspects of the shipping industry.
Alan claims to be the leading international pubisher of shipping
and insurance texts, few would argue with that!
His main interests, outside work, are a love of gardening, opera
and his wife but not necessarily in that order!
